What is PASI?
We advocate for and support the Spanish Immersion Program in Sioux Falls Public Schools with a primary focus on interns who enhance the language and cultural experience in the classrooms and in the community. We also donate money through grants for teacher development and resources for the classrooms and libraries.
Why Immerse Your Kids?
…because it’s a recipe for success; but don’t take our word for it.
The ability to understand, speak, read and write in more than one language is not the only benefit for an immersion education. In addition to gaining respect and understanding for other cultures; research has shown additional cognitive, academic and employment benefits for bilingual students. Click below to find out more.
A K-12 Immersion Experience
Your child will experience the Spanish language and culture throughout their education.
From 5-18 your child will have the opportunity to immerse his/herself in the Spanish language and culture in elementary, middle and high school. Spanish Immersion and Dual Immersion sites are located at Sonia Sotomayor, Hayward and Rosa Parks Elementaries. Spanish and Dual Immersion students join together at Edison and our 9-12 students are continuing their education at Lincoln High School. Click below to find out more info at each school.
